I celebrated my 50th birthday at my heaviest weight ever, and was concerned about my health, being a breast cancer survivor. I knew that diet was the leading cause of cancer. So when I had a friend lose 90 lbs and look fantastic, I decided to take a leap of faith and try ONE MORE thing. I lost 5 lbs in the first 7 days! Amazing! I’ve lost 48 lbs, and am at my lowest weight in 25 years! My joints don’t hurt anymore and I’m loving life!
This program will be the easiest plan you have ever tried. If I can do it while commercial fishing out on the Pacific Ocean any one can! I was not supportive, originally, of my wife doing this, but then thought it might help her if I was doing it with her. I started in July of 2007 and lost 85 lbs. What I really like about this program is the behavior modification. We learn to eat 6 smaller, well-balanced meals per day that take care of cravings.
I am so amazed by this program. I have lost 44 pounds in four months which is the most success I have had on any weight loss program. I am literally doing nothing but eating six meals a day as prescribed, and the pounds are melting away! The convenience of the program is a big help; I no longer worry about what meals to prepare, deciphering calories and ingredients, or constantly measuring food. Another wonderful benefit is that my health has improved. When I started the program, my glucose level was 134, which is actually entering the diabetes zone. Today, four months later, as a result of weight loss my glucose level has reduced to a healthy 79. My cholesterol level was high at 217, and as a result of weight loss it is now 165. Needless to say, I am happy, ecstatic that I found this program!
I had taken a stress-filled job in early 2008 and was commuting 40 minutes one way. I was up early, early in the morning and in an office atmosphere, with junk food within reach all day….that’s when and where I gained an extra 38 pounds. My husband is a runner and I asked him what I should do to lose the weight. His answer was to RUN!! So he loaded my iPod with a program called Couch to 5K and 13 weeks later I ran my first 5K and then a week later I ran another. It was then that I stepped on the scale and found I had not lost a single ounce! I was discouraged to say the least! I started this program on 27 August 2009 and by the end of October I had lost 38 lbs! That’s 8 weeks! I’ve maintained that loss for 13 months now and ran again that same 5K and when I crossed the finish line, I felt like I could and I wanted to keep running!!!! It’s the best feeling ever, to be nearly 50 and in the best shape of my life!
For the past 20+ years I have been fighting the bulge. Year after year I would tell myself – I will NOT get heavier, but I gained and gained. One day fate stepped in when I connected with a dear friend on Facebook. She mentioned she had lost about 50 pounds. I wanted to do that too so I started the program right away. Our story is short and simple – we were fat! A medical wake up call started us on the search for health only to be met with frustration, starvation and failure. Then fate stepped in!
